Mission Statement
We are a Madison, WI based Warhammer 40k gaming club. We believe that every time our models participate in a game there is a story to be told. The reason they are there is as unique as the players themselves. The story behind each army though thought out from inception can only grow richer with each game. The story is always told best by those that have seen it firsthand. Therefore we hold ourselves to a high standard of visual to inspire a great story and we share this story with those inside and outside of the club expanding the legacy of our army and our community.
Club Standards
• All Games Workshop and Forge World allowed.
• Fully painted and based units.
• 200pt minimum to start.
• All players will accommodate newer players and lower point level games.
• Kill Team rules will be used for all games under 500pts.
• Only use the best terrain available to you. Create terrain to match your star systems needs if and when possible.
• No GW or FW “named” characters
• Every Character matters and must have a name on their base.
• 1000 word background on your army from which to build a history from. Also, design a system(s) for your army.
• Force Organization % limits starting at 500pt game levels and higher. A maximum of 25% on HQ, a minimum of 25% on troops, and a maximum of 50% in support (where support includes Elites, Fast Attack, and Heavy Support). Dedicated transports point values count towards the type of unit using it.
• Battle Report: A one page write up from your army’s perspective; with 3 photos. It could be a very lengthy paragraph or 4+pages if you love writing. It’s your army’s history, how rich do you want it to be. Please, only include stories on games you play against those in the group. The goal is to create a rich history for the sector and all those participating. A random game is missing the objective of the club.
• Hold at least one narrative game a month with another group member.
• Meet quarterly over a pint to discuss battles, where we want the overall story to head and plan larger NGC events.
Encouraged
• KIA or destroyed versions of every model or unit.
• Unique Missions
• Unique Objectives
Club House Rules
• Models (KIA versions or not) stay on the board and are leaned over to show the movement of the battle.
• A downed fig isn’t necessarily dead. Roll a d10 on a 1 they are KIA, on a 2-9 they are just wounded, knocked out, etc. On a 10 they are critically wounded and have to sit out the next battle. Replacements are always immediate, however a critically wounded fig has to sit out the next battle and that unit goes into the next battle minus any critically wounded figs.
• Other figs can tend to the wounded by moving next to them. If they bring them off the table or are next to them at the end of the game, you can reroll the “Downed Fig” result.
