Now that the defeat of the Big Beast was behind them due to the swift action of the Death Guard, the next menace to dislodge would be the Orks looting their vessel.
As lord Kocii set off toward the loading bay with Magnate,Tariq Hyka and the 14thTactical Squad the remaining marines were sent back to the main staging corridor to bolster their numbers and refit their weapons to better support their counter assault. As Kocii and The 14th Tactical approached the docking bay there was no sign of Toxicant Ledion Vriona and his 21st Tactical Support Squad that had been ordered to move this way to stem the flood of Ork coming in to the Hulk.
As soon as lord Kocii entered the first hold he heard the grumble and squabbling of Ork Boys, he quickly ordered his men to split up to put the orks in to a cross fire before they realized they were under siege. Before his men could get in to position Lord Kocii and His tactical press forward just as two Ork Shootas round the corner immediately showering Lord Kocii and his Tactical squad with large caliber rounds, merely shatter off the adimantium of the Bane Lords Cataphractii Armour.
Quickly Lord Kocii draws his ancient Volkite Charger and returning fire, instantly turns the two shoota boys into crimson clouds as they are super-heated in an instant from the Volkite Dielectrically igniting the Orks.
They press on toward the crates the orks were scavenging from to see what ancient relics the orks would plunder.
With Bane Lord Kocii preoccupied, Magnate Hyka was pushing two combat squads of marines toward the flank when out of the first corridor came an unknown count of Boys. Immediately the Marines opened fire, causing the Orks to take cover. Quickly the second combat squad with Magnate Hyka ran to support their brothers; bolstering the counter attack. With the Marines prepared for a drawn out fight around the tunnel corner, The orks come rushing out, taking the marines by surprise and causing injuries to two of the them.
the Orks outrageous assault the Marines mount a counter assault of their own, smashing into the mob of boys quickly dispatching them before they could react to the furious onslaught of the enrages Death Guard.
As Bane Lord Kocii and his squad mates he is with reach the creates they hear the klang of heavy metal on the decking of the ship. They can hear the rising yells and shouts of the Ork masters after their wiley gretchin stuffed inside their Mek Boy abominations. The smell of exhaust and and the klang keeps moving closer to their position, Kocii and his men begin the withdrawal to Magnate Hyka and the rest of the 14th.
As lord Kocii is falling back, Magnate Hyka and the remaining squad members gather their wounded brothers and continue to charge the orks flooding in from the corridors. Dispatching Orks in a swath while sustaining wounded men on their side too, the path to the armoury is looking to be lost.
Lord Kocii has finally made it to his squad but fears the men that had gathered the crates were caught by the Mek’s claws and would, with luck, get recovery after mounting a counter attack as their numbers were dwindling fast.
As the orks continue pouring through the corridors from the Kill Kruza the Killa Kans and numerous shoota boys rounded the corner of the main hallway, loosing two rockets upon Kocii and the men falling back. One of the rockets got a lucky strike near the head of Kocii causing him to be slammed against the wall falling to the ground unconscious and a fragment of the rocket lodged in his left eye, taking him out of the fight. Battle Brother Afrim Curri was grievously wounded by an Ork Shoota in the fire fight; we have yet to see what the apothecary has in store for him.
