+++MISSION REPORT INCOMING+++
+++VISUAL LOG UNRETRIEVABLE+++
We had returned to our temporary quarters in the ruins of a shrine to the emperor, long since destroyed and desecrated. We had returned from our encounter with the Marines Errant with one of their number. Sasto appeared to be a bolter specialist. Our intention was to begin the interrogation immediately to find out why they were here, and why they attacked us. However, before we could begin, we were hailed and joined by the first elements of the Harkorn 88th, Captain Sylvanus and his attendant command squad, including Priest Canten and a rogue psyker with strong mental defenses. I was not able to probe his mind, at least not casually, and I had more important matters to attend to. They traveled with a unit of Harkorn veterans, sturdy men who had seen plenty of action. They traveled in a standard pattern Chimera and brought with them as much plasma death as they could carry. Lastly the Leman Russ Executioner 'Fulta's Bane' was bringing up the rear. I instructed them to set up camp here and said that we would meet in one hour to discuss our plans here.
Suddenly, the Marines Errant returned. Sylvanus and his squad joined me with the prisoner on the second level, my warriors were nearby on the right hidden in the ruins, Fulta's Bane was just ahead of them in front of the shrine, also on the right flank. The psyker and Priest Canten joined the Veterans in their Chimera to the left, with our razorback as backup.
One enemy rhino trundled up led up the left side towards the Chimera, whilst another rhino and a razorback came towards the Russ. A Landspeeder drifted in from the right as well, attempting to get behind us with a unit of scouts in tow. My trusty soldiers immediately dealt with this new threat, downing the speeder, and bringing the scouts low in short order, so they could refocus on the transports headed our way.
The Russ did its best to keep the enemy transports at bay, but its spirits were clearly unsettled and the enemy advanced. A lucky shot from the rhino on the left forced an evacuation of the chimera, and with the fervor of the Priest and the protection of their psyker, they charged forward. A unit of Marines hiding like cowards in the ruins saw to them without mercy. Griff and Makk both fell to injuries, as multiple units of marines charged our position, their Chaplain ran at Fulta's Bane, and while his weapons had no effect, it was too much for the machine to take as both of his plasma sponsons overloaded simultaneously and reduced its crew to ash.
As both my warriors and the Harkorn command began to falter, a rhino full of marines rammed right into the front of the shrine at full speed. I drew upon the warp with all the strength I could muster, and suddenly all went black.
